285 70 R17 opinions

So, I am about to install my brand spankin' new Toytec Ultimate 3" lift which now has me trying to decide on tires. Currently, I am running Yokohama Geolander A/T-S' in 265 70 R17. The diameter of said tires is exactly 32". I am looking at purchasing BFG A/T's at 285 70 R17 which the diameter is 32.8". Overall, an increase of 4/5's of an inch in diameter. To those of you that have gone from 265 70 17's to 285 70 17's, how much of a drop in fuel economy and acceleration did you encounter? Was it negligible or very noticeable? And, yes, I understand that the tire model itself can make a difference in economy (a/t vs. m/t). Just answer as objectively as you can.

Went from General Grabber AT2's 265/70/17 on stock 4 runner wheels to Nitto Trail Grappler's 285/70/17 on 17x9 Pro Comp wheels, also Toytec Ultimate lift. With lift but before tires ride was awesome, better than stock. After wheels and tires there's a pretty strong vibration at certain speeds, keep in mind they are M/T's Fuel mileage is certainly down but not sure by how much? If you're gonna drive a lifted rig on 33's fuel mileage probably isn't a huge concern of yours! Lol. Acceleration is the same, or at least I haven't noticed a difference. All said I love it and wouldn't change a thing. Except maybe some after market UCA's in the future.

Let me know what your opinion is after you install it! Been debating wether or not to buy it cause of the price etc! I want to lift my rig 4 inches.

When I stepped up to 285's I lost about 3 mpgs.

Love mine, so happy I finally stepped up! Now if I drove the runner several thousand miles a month I would probably step down back to 265/70! If you don't drive tons, go with 285 especially since you prob really want them!

OK, great. But how did they affect acceleration from standing still?

It is noticeable compared to stock.

Acceleration is a little slower, not enough to sway me though.
