2nd Gen Tacoma rear shocks

I've searched a lot, but haven't found my answer. What's the deal with Tacoma rear shocks? I know the bushings are a different size, but what size? I bought a set of Tacoma bilsteins from a guy just for the fronts, but I got the rear shocks too. I figured I'd try to fit them.

I guess my main question is: what makes the Tacoma bushings not fit?

If you take a look at the size of the opening in the bushing in the Tacoma strut then look at the size of the opening on the 4rubber strut you will notice they are different sizes. Easiest thing to do is order the proper bushing, pop the old one out, new one in and call it a day.

Got it! I dug around some more and found the energy part number and got a local parts house to order it for me.

Check out that thread. It has the information you need. I just ordered my bushings for the rear but haven't installed them yet.

Yup... I did it. Press the bushings off and new ones on. Everything bolts right up.
