2nd Gen tire carrier

i'm wondering that too as i picked up a rear carrier off a 2nd gen at the local pick n pull for $40 
looking at things...the carrier can be massaged to fit but,the inner mounting stucture where the 2 main outer brackets/hinges bolt onto-thats where the problem maybe,the second gen has internal bracketry spot welded to the truck chassis and i think bolts and big washers just wont do the job....
also,the top hinge would hit the lift gate even tho' when trimmed...gotta make a custom top swing bracket for that part...
doable but,lots of work.
btw:are you referring to this truck? i pm'd the seller and asked what he did but so far...no response

It has a front grill like I've never seen on a 4runner. Does that come factory? :jk:

Yeah, thats the one I saw too, and just to add, that rig is not to far down from me, I'm thinking about buying it and selling mine!
