3.4L Turbo Kit being discussed

One of our Yotatech members, Node, is fabricating a turbo kit for the 3.4 and is looking for input on demand. It will include a new turbo manifold, etc. Gadget has provided some input on it also.

I know there is a demand, please drop by and provide your input.

That's great news to hear!

There are also a couple of Tacoma 2WD Turbo V6 guys on www.customtacos.com (the site is currently down for a forum upgrade). One of which is a full kit made by Gadget and URD. It's great to see that there is still demand for performance upgrades for our trucks/4runners etc.

And of note, there are quite a few turbo 4cyl guys on the same site. So, if you're thinking of turbo'ing your 4cyl (2rz/3rz), there is a lot of inofrmation there.

Dude, i can picture heads turnin as a turbo 4runner rolls up...the blow off valve going off. Props to the toyotas with turbos.

Ok, now he is also working on a turbo kit for the 3.0liter at the same time.

This should get very interesting!

Oh...and I am with you on the turbo in a 4Runner. I want to blow the doors off of those Civic's, etc. I kill them on the highway at the top end, but in the low to mid range the gearing and weight kill me. The 3.4l is a very powerful engine given enough air and put into its' powerband. It screams very nicely with a cold air intake on it and a magnoflow exhaust.
