3.5" Icon Lift

All,

New member here. Great place and thanks to all who have contributed, I have learned a lot in a short time.

Recently bought an 07 4Runner SR5 and am looking to put a lift under it. The guys at a local store said they could do a 3.5" Icon lift kit.

I have not read anything on this message board regarding any size Icon lifts and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them.

If I do not hear any really positive reviews, I think I will just buy the 3/2 OME lift kit and find someone who can install it for me.

I am Under the Impression you cant / shouldnt go over 3" lift on 4 runner before running into problems with suspension parts.
I have the OME Kit and Its great I went with the stiff springs because of the extra weight of ARB bumper and Winch and also For when I go camping. Plus The OME Kit Installed Will be Less than just the Purchase price of Icon .

The dealer may or may not install the lift. Some dealers around here install lift kits on their new vehicles. Those dealers I would think they might do it or if they would if you buy the lift through them. Others that don't molest the vehicle probably will not.

Icon, as in Icon Vehicle Dynamics? If so, they use to be Donahoe Racing. Do a search for Donahoe Racing and you'll find there are a handful of members who have their coilovers for lift. Coilovers are the cream of the crop and the most expensive way to lift (that's reversible), aside from long travel suspension. DR and IVD CO's I believe the max is 3" only.

OME is 3" all the way around, and my dealer would install them if i asked.......
