I know some version of this gets asked all the time, but I really need some quick, concise advice without all the who-ha and going down the long dark rabbit hole of things to know about off road suspension.
I've got a '04 V6 4x4 and I recently noticed when doing my brakes that a couple of my struts are leaking so it's time for a suspension upgrade, and I've pretty much decided on a Dobinson IMS 2.5" lift with heavy load coils (the heavy load is futureproofing, as I intend on doing front and rear bumpers in the future, and already have an RTT).
As much as I would love to upgrade every suspension component all at once, I'm trying to keep the initial buy in as low as possible and upgrade the rest over time.
That being said, my question is, what (if anything) else is absolutely required and essential for doing this lift? What will get me lifted, on the road, without too much excess wear and tear on the vehicle?
