Has anyone been able to fit 37"s on their 4Runner? If so, what lift did you go with? Thanks for the information

There is a guy over on Toyota120 that is doing 37s with a +2 LT kit up front and custom setup in the rear. Havent seen any new updates though.
Probably a good reason for that.. That sounds very involved. So much cutting and custom work required. Would be cool, but a ton of work. 35s much easier and better matched to the limits of the 5th gen.
It can probably be done with a 6" bracket lift, but it is kinda silly mall crawler stuff :mullet::crazy:
Stop making my eyes hurt.
I'm running 37's on a 2.5" suspension lift, 1.5" body lift, and a lot of cutting and new parts. Im doing a full rebuild starting Feb to run 40's with 12" of travel and a crawler box, running 5:29 gears.
To a previous poster (mcarey86) in this thread - why would I go out a buy a "Heep" or a fullsize pickup...what horrible ideas!
Firstly, I already owned a 4R that I bought new in 2004. Why would I lose my investment in all my parts for a Jeep that has remarkable unreliability, would cost me a ton to purchase and then to modify anyway. And why the hell would I want a fullsize bro truck if I'm rock crawling and driving narrow trails? There's a reason fullsize trucks are seen rarely on trails.
I think he was saying if you want huge tires on a huge truck for pavement, get a full size truck. That makes a lot of sense. If you wanted to wheel something with 37's get a Jeep, which makes sense too.
A Jeep would be way easier to mod, you don't need to take it to RST to get custom parts made, you can buy literally anything online and bolt it on in your driveway. We're talking 4 link kits, fuel tank swaps, roll cages, complete axles, there are even engine swap kits. If you are going to replace everything on your truck anyway, and hit hard rocky trails, a Jeep is a fine place to start.
But this is a conversation about 37's on 4Runners so lets not get too sidetracked.
