3rd gen 3.4 flexplate change

Unable to find info regarding changing out the flexplate on a 99 3.4.
I have to change this one due to chipped teeth on ring gear.
Any advice?

You basically have to remove the transmission and transfer case. Changed the flex plate then put it back together.

Tim the toolman made 3 videos on this and you can find instructions in the Factory Service manual

Remove transmission, replace flex plate, reinstall transmission. I would consider replacing the rear main seal while you are there.

Thanks for the reply's.
I had anticipated changing the rear seal and have the rear seal kit (seal and cover gasket) along with the flexplate.
This is a rwd version.

Process will be very similar except you don't have a transfer case for the 4WD.
Other then that darn near identical.
