Question for the 3rd gen guru's. so I trace my leak to this boot type thing. Trying to get the correct name or part #'s. I gonna pull my rack & pinion out to replace the bushings. Would like to fix this as well. I've notice from the parts pic there's a O-ring there to. Wondering if that fail as well. Only issue I have is it's leaking and worn out bushings.

You would probably need the oil seal and the the o-ring. The dust cap is there just to kept debris out, but it will not hold any real pressure.

I’d didn’t try searching, but I would be surprised if you could get them. You could find a o-ring, but that may not solve the problem.

I would check to make sure that there isn’t major play in the shaft.

Maybe someone will chime in that knows more

did you end up finding a solution for this? I have a leak in the same spot, unsure if I have to replace the whole rack or not. thanks

If it's leaking out of the steering gear input shaft then you
need to replace the oil seal and may as well do the o-ring.
