3rd Gen TRD cat back exhaust system for sale

I wanna sell my TRD cat back exhaust system off my 98 runner since im getting ready to rear mount turbo and i would hate to cut up a true TRD exhaust. :lol: it makes the exhaust exit out the back with a chrome tip with the TRD emblem on each side. from what i have read is that this system is kinda rare and was a dealer option. I know new it is around $700-$800. It sounds great!!!! just not as good as a turbo.:lol: id like to get $300 o.b.o.

From what I have seen, the TRD Exhausts from prior to 99 are the rear exit. I have only seen 3 of them. Yours, mine, and some other feller on here that also has an STI with a bunch of videos... No idea on his screen name.

To clean up the tip, hit it with some of that citrus hand cleaner, followed by steel wool. Night and day difference, mine looks brand new.

The rear exit also makes for the exhaust fumes coming in the rear window when driving with it down... Which is they switched back to the side, I believe. It's not terrible, but without rolling down the front windows and cracking the sun roof, you'll smell it.

Sounds great though, I love mine!

My TRD exhaust is also side exit on my 98'. I love the sound, just noticeable enough but not drone-ish or annoying.

Ditto...My TRD exhaust exits out the side, I have had it on for 7-8 yrs and it is still chrome tipped and not faded...also my exhaust tip is oval shaped not round (see pic) Sorry it's still dirty... I love it, it sounds nice.....

I love my TRD exhaust. Like rickashay said, it's just loud enough to sound good, but not droney or annoying. Mine was side exit too, but i cut the tip and the last foot or so of the pipe off because it would have gotten smashed on the rocks anyways.
