3rd Gen wanted

Hi Guys,
I currently have a 5th gen that my wife drives, I am taking up a new job that requires me to drive 75 miles each way. I have a 2013 Ford Fusion that I don't want to rack up crazy miles on. If any of you can help me find a good one with no rust, that will be great, preferably a 2000-2002. Either a limited or Sport 4wd. I have been searching and looking online, but nothing has really caught my eye. Also if any of you have one for a reasonable price that you are looking to unload, I will be happy to buy it off you.

If you're looking for a commuter vehicle, I think you can do better than a 3rd gen runner... Especially with 19 mpg. The Ford fusion is a great option actually. But for the price of a 3rd gen 4runner in near perfect condition, you can get much better commuters.

Well my thing is the fusion has 39k miles on it and the drive s going take quiet a toll on it. what will be your recommendation for a solid 4wd commuter. The place where I live gets hammered with snow.

for a commuter 4wd, I'd look into a diesel car with AWD, subaru, or maybe a FWD SUV that has "active" AWD.

active being in quotes because some of those systems are worthless. Im not a subie fanboy but they do make some great AWD systems and solid cars. I personally love the older Legacy and forresters (boxy ones).

There are plenty of awd vehicles with good gas mileage for under 10k, which would probably be the price range that you'd be in for a 4runner. For example, my friend just bought a 2012 Mitsu Lancer for 8k and it has AWD and 4wd. I'm not saying to get one of those, but look at subarus and similar cars if you get a ton of snow.

Or just find the 4runner you're looking for, I'm not here to stop you, just to provide other ideas.
