3rd Row Opionons?

I am happy to have the third row. It comes in handy. I use mostly when family comes to visit and we need to get around town. I also have a roof top carrier that I throw stuff when people visit and still need to carry stuff especially my daughters stroller which won’t fit in the back with the third row up. I like having the option for the third row. I would have bought a trd pro if it had a third row option. All that said I like I said before if it’s a third row going to use heavily or long trips. I think there are better options out there but than again I guess lose a lot of things people buy 4runners for

I bought a 3rd row SR5 for hauling kids. Haven't used it too much yet. Kids liked riding in it during warm weather last year though, especially with the rear window down. It's nice to know i have it. You can fit, but it's not going to be comfy for an adult. Downside is there is literally no room for anything in the trunk with the third row in use.

Curious if anybody has temporarily removed them for the added cargo space when not in use?

Damn that looks nice. Is that customized to fit in the place of the 3rd row seating? or actually designed for it. Either way, I am digging it

It is a standard size ARB drawer. Just had my local ARB dealer pull out the seat and bolt the drawer in. A fridge usually lives on top, so the kid who is stuck in back can nurse their loneliness with a frothy cold drink:)

re: Third Row Seating

Kids like the 3rd row. Even on semi-long trips (4-6 hours) they seem fine in the back. They've never complained, even when asked about the temperature (although I think adults may find it a bit stuffy in the summer or cold in the winter as there are no air vents back there). As already mentioned, rolling down the rear window is a HUGE crowd pleaser. Rolling down all windows and opening the sunroof is as close to al fresco motoring as we can get. I'm glad I got the 3rd row option as it really helps out during those times when you need to carry extra passengers but don't want to tool around in a Sienna or Highlander. Good luck with your choice.
