3rd Row Seat Floor Liner

I've searched here (5th Gen) and checked Husky and Weathertech sites and it seems the only 3rd row seat rubber/plastic like floor liner is a 3D MAXpider, part number L1TY04431509 (for black).

Seems folks are generally pleased with it, but did see one comment that it is flimsy. However that might be needed so as not to interfere with folding the seats down with the liner in place. Saw no comment on whether it interfered with folding the seats down.

I have Husky wearherbeaters in front and 2nd row. Interested in something for 3rd row.

Anyone have any recent update / experience with this 3D product for the 3rd row seats or know of any other similar product?

Canvasback cargo liner

Check out the canvasback cargo liner in my build. I had the OEM cargo liner for the 3rd row, and it was a pain when using the 3rd row. The canvasback has a zipper that allows you to quickly pull up one or both 3rd row seats. And it also covers the back of the 2nd row.

Thanks but canvas won't work for my wet sandy beach situation. I have the OEM cargo liner and am ok with it.

Just wanting something for the floor in the 3rd row when they are up and it needs to hold water/wet sand.

Great. New over the ones I had in my 2004, these have a lip that goes over the door sill so stuff does not get in the area of the carpet next to the sill. Lip is on 2nd row as well as front.

The part # starting with L is from the Amazon site selling them and is listed as manufacturers part #. Amazon shows it fits only up to 2013.

I found the manufacturers site (U-Guard Automotive ) shows part # FL-4520BK3 works for 2010-2016.

I've asked U-Guard if these are the same item.

I'd be interested to know if anyone has experience with one of these as well. I don't use the 3rd row much but when I do it's filled with kids. We all know they keep the interior spotless....

We aren't referring to the cargo area mat for 3rd row equipped rigs. We're talking about the FLOOR mat that would go in front of the seats with the 3rd row deployed.

OK got the 3D MAXpider Kagu 3rd row seat floor liner liner today via Amazon. Ordered under the L etc part #.

1st pic is with the 2nd row all the way fwd. 2nd pic is 2nd row all the way back. I didn't deploy the 3rd row seats fwd but I think you can get the idea.

The liner fits well and provides good coverage. It is, as one comment I saw, rather thin but it will more than do the job. The 3rd row seats do go down and latch with the liner in place so I think that has a bearing on why it is thin.

It has a prickly back, not like Velcro or the little spikes on Husky weatherbeaters. so it will definitely stay in place.

I'm happy with it.

Thanks for the pictures and update. I have no immediate plans to use the third row but it's nice to know there are options. I did just purchase the Toyota OEM liner for the back area with the third row folded flat which should provide full coverage.

yeah.... I'm going to have to disagree with you there. I've been really pleased with being able to fit two kids in boosters back there and on rare occasions two adults. I've always asked about comfort and the people riding back there have always been comfortable. I wouldn't put adults back there for long trips but riding for less than an hour it has been great. In fact, I've found the 3rd row to be significantly more useful than I had expected when I purchased my truck.

I don't know, I've used it extensively and have had no issues. Now all of the people who have been delegated to the 3rd row for more then a trip around town have been 5'8" or under. I'm 5'10" and have sat back there for short trips no problem. I wouldn't endure a cross country trip back there but my parents sat back there for a 3 hour trip to Sarasota for a spring training game and had no complaints. It's nice to fit kids and grandparents all in the same car. Once my son and daughter are out of car seats I'm sure they'll be begging to sit back there like I did in my parents old station wagon. They key is moving the 2nd row forward as far as you can or at least half way.

But if it's useless to you then hopefully you got one without it.

I too thought the 3rd row was useless, until my wife laid down the law and told me I could not trade the FJ for a 4Runner Trail with just as much seating as the FJ.
I have never been so glad that I listened to her. We use the 3rd row all the time. For kids it is the best, and little people too. I do not know about 5'4" and over, but under that, is perfect. My son loves to ride back there, and when my nephew comes, they are in their own world, and have no complaints.
I love it so much that we trade my wife's Lexus for a Highlander and 3rd row. The captain chairs in her Platinum makes it a breeze to access 3rd row, and oh so roomy, but 3rd row is something you cannot live without when you have more than one child.

2 toddler grandkids, daughter and son-in-law, me and the wife, headed to the beach, just a short 4-10 mile trip, hardly useless and the liner is going to help immensely with beach sand.

I have that same cargo liner and it does provide full coverage. The only down side to it is the lips around the edges are not quite as high a what pictures of a Husky show and it does not have the little "spikes" on the bottom to hold it in place on the carpet as a Husky does.

Even so I'm sticking with it for now.
