What an absolute joke. First off, I have to say, that guy looks like a textbook Jeep owner.

And the jeep doesn't even look that stuck. The front tires are buried pretty good but I bet a winch could easily get him out of there.

I love at the end where the tow company says they have placed a lein on the jeep… oh yay $200 in scrap metal.

I had a tow company tow our car in a collision. They wouldn't let us pick it up on Monday (accident on Saturday) because they said it was Caesar Chavez day. $300 more to clear the lien from the insurance company since it was then 3 days.

Caesar Chavez day was the following Monday.

They didn't have much of a choice considering they were arrested for trespassing and the company that did the tow is whoever the police have a contract with. Looking at the pictures, it looks like they totalled it during their "recovery".

Holy hell. I mean when I got towed out by AAA out on a dirt road, the tow company guy wasn't all too happy about doing and "offroad" tow and pulling me out of the mud, but $48,000?!?! Don't they realize how much bad press they're getting out of the deal??
