4Runner Drawer/Camping/Storage System - FREE

The Drawer Plans are finally out!
After many efforts and delays, I am happy to announce to everyone that the drawer plans are finally out! :whoo:

This is a modular system designed for use in the 4th gen 4Runner that I built for myself. This means if someone wants to build just one part of the 4 part system, they should be able to. It also likely can be adapted to different generation 4Runners, hence me posting here as well!

My motivations for making this free are a direct result of the community. I have won t4r 4runner of the month in the past, I have met many people at local meets, and have have always had so many questions answered all for free. So, this is my way of saying thanks.

Use it for tailgating, use it to carry your recovery gear, camping gear, spare parts, or even kid's toys. Whatever makes you happy.

To get the plans, simply go to the website, add all of the items to the cart and checkout. It'll be $0.00 and you'll get a link in your email to download.

To order the parts, the list is on the website with amazon links.

Enjoy!

Just downloaded for future building, these plans look great! very well put together.

thanks for the free download!

I've watched your video a couple of times in the past six months, so I'm stoked to see this pop up here. What a killer community we have. Will be using the plans at some point now that I've got a RTT. Will post some pics once I get to that point.

Thank you!!!

Cool thanks. Too bad the rear liftgate is so useless on these things. That is the only major drawback of these trucks, along with the lower ball joints. We give up a lot of functionality for that liftgate just to have a roll down window. But they could have had double swingout doors with a roll down window on one side.

Thread does mention that a 3rd gen specific plan is
"I hear yah! offical 3rd gen plans with no adaption needed coming soon!"

I have a 5th gen but still downloaded. I figured it was just some measurement differences but who am I? Someone without a building clue.

Still in the works, sorry guys! life has kept me busy.

I personally wouldnt do shorter drawers to allow the dog to walk. Depending on how big the dog is, it could be ok.

Big Sur camping is on Prewitt ridge, but theyres tons of flies and wasps there now because of too many hipsters shitting.

I would think it would be easy to replicate these with some slight measurement tweaks for the 3rd gen. There are ton of these storage set ups on this forum already.

Yes, agreed! I, for one, am just lazy and would like to have a set of plans so i can just build it.
