Whats up eveyone!
I'm new to the forum and glad that I found it. Tons of info here. Now on to the problem.
We went to Carova NC in the OBX last weekend durring the big storm. If you haven't heard about Carova it is a 4-wheel drive paradise. No paved roads just sand and beach to drive on. We got there durring the brunt of the storm and had to drive threw a ton of salt water from the waves making it all the way to the dunes. Once we got on the side roads they were all flooded. I had water almost coming up to the hood of my car trying to get to the house.
The problem now is that when I try to start my 2001 4-Runner SR5 it will click once and not start. After that I'll turn my key to the off position and try to start it and it starts fine. Sometimes it may take more than once(turring it to the off position) for it to start. It only does this in the morning or when it has sit for more than 4 hours. It sounds like a starter issue and not my alternator. I have cleaned my terminals that connect to my battery so I know it's not am issue with corrosion.
I learned alot about my truck this past weekend and it amazed me. I never thought my truck could do what it did. I am having other issues with my truck but it was totally worth it. Toyota makes one hell of a truck!
