4runner idles fine but sputters when accelerating

I recently changed all 3 of my belts and noticed my brake lights were out. I replaced bulbs, fuses, and brake light switch and finally got them working but now my engine will idle only. If I try to give it gas, it will just sputter and sometimes die. It was driving fine before I did anything with the brakes. Any clue what it could be?

As you know, brake work has little to do with the engine sputtering.

I had a "sputtering" issue on my well-maintained T4R and ended up changing the O2 sensors. That did the trick and all is well. The other issue can be the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor).

I keep injector cleaner running in mine all the time so I don't know if it could be the injectors.

One note: the O2 sensors don't generally throw codes. Change them and see if that helps. (Bought mine on Amazon. Cheapest place to get the OE equivalent Denso's - part number: 234-4162 on Non-California, 3.4L 5VZFE engine)

The check engine light was on but I am assuming it reset when I disconnected the battery. Those as well as the headlight switch is all I changed.
