I need help identifying which key fob I should buy. I have an alarm installed and on the dash there is a red button near the dashboard light dimmer knob. Will the oem toyota key fobs work for my 4runner?

that's aftermarket so we can;t help you unless we know if your alarm is stock or after market, if your question is will a stock key fob work with your after market alarm , the answer is possibly you need to crack open the keyfob or find the alarm and find the FCC id and see if it matches up with what you got, we can't help you with this as we don't know what your alarms is, we know what the stock toyota fcc codes are but not your aftermarket alarm, if we knew what that was we could simply match them up but as it stands you've only given us half of the equation .......

this thread will tell you how to search for the fcc code on stock components and what matches up to what from there, beyond that can't really help you.

I'M not sure you actually have a 4Runner. I can't find any mention of it anyways.

The FCC ID for the FACTORY remote on the 2000 4Runner is: HYQ1512Y

I do not have any information on the dealer installed option; however, I do know that yours is third party as remote start is not a factory or dealer option and would not have that button.
