That funny that's the same two years I own 2003 and 1996 4runners. First year 3rd gen first year 4th gen and they both keep on Rollin issue free...

1998 4Runner with a Tacoma front clip. Bought it from a friend who cut off every thing below the frame. It has a FJ62 front axle with a splined locker, possibly a spider Trax or similar, and a TRD rear axle with an e-locker.
I fabricated the crossmember out of a stock Toyota one to incorporate
a "bridge" to allow the driveshaft to get to the front diff. It has 4.88 gears front and rear. Marlin Crawler adapter with doubled T-cases. One T-case has the stock ratio gears, the other has 4.7:1 or something like that gears.
