I was looking to buy a 2016 towards the end of last year. Told the wife that if I could get the car for the right price I was buying it, and if not then I'd just keep my paid off 2008 and put money into it. As far as pricing, the west coast was the best. I found the car I wanted and the price I wanted to pay for it in California and in Texas. I live in South Carolina and called every dealership just about from SC, NC, GA, and TN. Everyone was asking way too much. Especially towards the end of the year. Needless to say I ended up keeping the 08 and am loving the new upgrades and no car payment. But if I lived in Cali I'd be driving around in a new 16...
Never give what someone asks for either. They usually inflate the price because they know the buyer will usually try to negotiate down.
