I like that rear bumper and painted deflector on the rear hatch. Hope he has a block heater for that thing.

It makes my whining of the 20F temps here down right punitive.

You guys really got beat up this year. (I'm talking about the weather not football. Haha) We've been unseasonably warm (High 40's to mid 50's) which is OK at the lower elevations. I'm not complaining. We've had some gorgeous weekends.

It sucks Mike. Cold here is awful, because the humidity acts like a wet blanket. The snow sucks, and the frozen ice is awful. But we have good heat, unlike my parents in coastal South Carolina whose heat pump is being taxed at the moment (their lows are 15 to 30 degrees colder than normal).

Clemson is having more players coming back next year so hopefully we can get back to the playoffs. :first:
 
This has been a cold winter overall. It was 5 here this morning windchill was in the double digits, yesterday was the same. We've had a lot of that since Christmas. Hopefully it will warm up a little bit here in the next couple weeks.

Send it our way! We're still in a drought here in the west coast, hardly any rain and little/no snow on the mountains at 7000 feet.
 
The owner must be a real badass. He just drives around with no license plate and he has an imported 4Runner in the middle of Siberia.
 
I used to work with a guy who had worked with Doctors Without Borders, who used to run clinics in parts of Russia. He said Siberian winters are nothing to fool around with. Most of those folks have extremely thick skin and working blood pressure that would make a cardiologist have a heart attack.

If the winters in Russia stopped Napoleon and Hitler in their tracks, then yea, it isn't for me.

I was joking when I said, not bad dry cold. Those temps are serious business for any living creature or machine, I've worked in temps to -40, being from the states having thin skin thin blood glad I didn't have to stay long pay was very good though.

It was under 20* for 3 weeks straight with wind chills under 0 a few times. The past week we've had some balmy days around 32*.:cool:
 
And here, my piece of junk is acting all strange and the power steering system is funky just from the 20*F temps we've been having.

Maybe I should ship it off to that part of Russia to show it how good it had here.

How long since you did a PSF flush? Moisture in the PS fluid, or any hydraulic fluid, becomes a real problem in temps like that. That high-pitched pump noise in the cold is a dead giveaway.

I guarantee the folks in Siberia know this.
 
From a couple of weeks ago but she was happy running around at -39 ambient. Intake temp is normally 2 or 3 degrees warmer than actual I've found. Also learned my field monitor only goes down to -30.

Edit: also am wide open throttle only for picture :D

Still, I bet that guy has an oil pan heater, a block heater, and a heat pad under the battery where he parks at night, or maybe a heated garage. You can see they just leave it running when they park outside for a while. In Alaska, folks carry two keys for this purpose.

I heard that in mother Russia with those ridiculous negative temps that they’d have to leave their cars idling all night or else they’d freeze solid haha

I actually did a flush on the system a few weeks ago because it started whining again (happened last year in winter as well and cleaned the screen and the whine went away). I took off the reservoir again, cleaned the screen as it looked dirty and flushed the system with Dexron III using Tim's flush method.

The pump is still whining and I have a bunch of bubbles in the reservoir that will not go away no matter how much I bleed it. Taking any suggestions. Contemplating on just buying a whole new OEM steering pump to see if it solves it.
