4runner Value in Socal

My buddy has an 01 4runner Sport just like mine but with 182,000 miles on it. He wants to sale it and he wants 5,700. Do you guys think thats way to much?

If it's mechanically sound, I believe that may be less than book value. I would say it's a fair price. I certainly wouldn't sell it for less if it were mine, but then I wouldn't sell it at all.

you're leaving out a lot of variables. 2wd or 4wd, clean title, cloth, leather, interior/exterior condition, maintenance... If everything is up to par and it's 4wd $5,700 seems like a decent price. But if the seller is happy with $5,700 then post it up on Craigslist, if it doesn't sell then you know the answer to your question.

If it's in good condition, it's pretty cheap price whether it's 2wd or 4wd IMHO. I've been looking for a 4Runner in SoCal for the past year and '01 Sports seem to go for way more. I only remember the earlier model 3rd gens going for the $5,000s range, if I remember correctly. Again, this is assuming GOOD condition. If it's a 4wd, $5,700 is a steal. GLWS.

Yeah, I did a Blue Book search online and for a 2wd sport in good condition with that many miles goes for 4500. Seems kinda low. I would think 5's would be fair.
