Wanted to stop by and introduce myself - Brian from Charlotte, NC. I joined the forum back in 2013 when I bought a 2010 4Runner Limited 2WD. I kept it for 18 months then decided I wanted to get something more trailworthy, so I bought a 2013 Jeep JKU. I modified it heavily with lockers, beadlocks, OBA...the works. Needless to say, after routinely thrashing it on the rock it became a bit of a pain to maintain as it was my daily driver....soooo, I sold it.
That brings us to now, and last week I pulled the trigger on a silver 2015 4Runner SR5 2WD. After realizng that wheeling HARD in a daily driver and not having an unlimited budget wasn't working for me, I decided this 4Runner would just have a few non-wheeling oriented mods. This go around, I plan on:
Widow Tint - 15% to match rear (complete)
Stereo Upgrade - Component's up front, coaxil drop in rear doors, small 4 channel 100 watt amp to push them.
Wheels / Tires - Method NVs or TRD wheels / 275/70/17 BFG K02
Leveling Kit - Everything I am finding for a leveling kit is a 2.5" front puck. Is that much really required to level off the rake? Not concerned with clearance as it is a 2WD and will be kept on highway.
Finally, any great vendors here? I've spent tons of money supporting vendors on another jeep forum I was active on and plan on supporting the standouts here.
