Coming from Florida, it was staggering how much there is to do out there. Barely scratched the surface in Arizona over the holidays. You could spend a week in the Sedona area alone. This spot was 25 miles from anything in the Tonto National Forest, didn't find pavement until well after dark lol. So plan accordingly for drive time and supplies. This was an invaluable book I loaded on my tablet.

Local knowledge obviously is best when you can get it.
Be careful on Reservations (off pavement-off limits), I heard of vehicles getting confiscated. The Gila reservation cops have Raptors, so I figured trying to out run them would be futile lol.
