4Runners in scenic places

To be fair, I still have the Jeep ('98 Wrangler bought new by my dad and passed through the family to the youngest (me)). I love them both for different reasons. Jeep is more fun, better for going over rocks, and the top/doors come off. 4R is much more comfortable, better for road trips (MPG/space/quieter) and still does well off road.

Where is this is NW Arkansas? My daughter wants to get her Jeep off pavement for the first time and looks perfect for us to take the Jeep and 4Runner.

P.S. I hate mud, and avoid if at all possible. I'm more interested in the scenery and the trip along the way.

This is right outside of Jasper, AR. There are a lot of roads around that area that are much like the one in the picture. Anywhere around the Buffalo River in that area would be perfect. Ponca or Pruitt, AR. Nothing too technical and the roads are kept up fairly well (graded, etc.), but there are a few spots to test out your ability. Never really thought about it until you mentioned it, but these roads would be perfect to get a good feel for your vehicle. A little more challenging after rains or bad weather, but pretty nice to get used to all your vehicle has to offer without taking it too far. I found a few small stream crossings which were pretty cool too.

Thanks! We know Jasper well from hiking around the area. Daughter will be home from college for the summer in about a month. Looks like we will head east from Oklahoma to check things out.

I literally sit here and just dream about owning a 4Runner thanks to these photos. Hopefully by the end of the year I can get one. Keep them coming everyone!
 
This is my favorite pic from my Lake City, CO trip last year. This was on the south side of the Alpine Loop in the San Juans. Gorgeous country and well worth the 11+ hour drive from OKC.
