Took advantage of the government shutdown in Yosemite:

It's the Detours Knucklebone. I don't really have any great side shots. This would be the closest I have.

Thanks for the pic! I need a carrier like that. Does it cause any sagging to the rear? I really like how close the tire is to the hatch door unlike the the one made by Wilco.

I haven't had any, granted I did put it on after I put on the 2" Toytec Lift, but I don't believe it's that heavy to cause any. You can adjust it to be closer and further away to run bigger tires. I think it can handle up to a 40".
It uses pressure bolts though for that slider, so I just drilled through it so the bolts went all the way in, and then welded them as well just for peace of mind.

Which campany is it? Is there a pivot point to allow opening the hatch?
And great shots, specifically the Yosemite empty parking lot! This for sure does not happen often!!!

Not at all. The Glacier Point area has some, as does like Half Dome, but even then it's not much. Valley got a little last week, but nothing significant. Definitely a dry year.

It's the Detours Knucklebone. Towards the bottom there's a pin and a clamp that keep it up, with them out it'll lower. I have a screwdriver in the pin hole in the photo below, but that's where the pin goes.
As far as a parking lot, that was more of the river bed lol.

Man, you're waay up the wall on the passenger side. Did you scrape your driver's side? I stayed a little flatter and had no problem.

The information I had said to stay to the right and "climb" the wall a bit to give enough room on the driver-side. No scrapes, even though I was only a couple of inches away from the wall on the driver-side. Nice to know that the 4Runner is narrow enough for me to stay level next time.

It's a tight fit however you do it. My friend in his landcruiser climbed the wall a bit and tore the cover on his rooftop tent a little bit.
