Looks like you've updated it a bit since this picture, but I had to do a double take. We have the same color 4Runner with the Rago mount and 32" lightbar behind the grill. Even the same white TX plates. Thought you were posting a picture of my wife's 4R for a sec!

While somewhat of a cliche picture, we did Engineer Pass the week after Labor Day.

She's gone through a few revisions since last year, but she is still going strong - 115,000 miles and counting.

As much as we go to Colorado, I am kinda annoyed that we haven't gone up to Engineer Pass anywhere down the Western Slope... but we have been prioritizing our time with friends and family on the Front Range. We hope to make a more camp-centric trip next year.

We didn't do as many trails as we would have liked either. We were staying with family about 2.5-3 hours away, so it was a day trip. Engineer was pretty long and was recommended as a good trail to get your feet wet in that area.

I, unknowingly, had my wife drive the hardest section. Afterall, it is her 4Runner. She didn't have any issues driving it either. I was proud and jealous all at the same time. In talking to a colleague who grew up in the area, he said that if you can do Engineer without any "Oh sh!t" moments then you should move on to Imogene next. We are hoping to do Cinnamon and Imogene next year if it all works out.

Good looking T4 -- If that's Monrovia, Calif. your T4 is way too nice for that area.

I worked in Monrovia a long time ago. I remember seeing a motel with a sign saying "Hourly Rates" and my kind was not welcome at a local mall.

Get it back to the open spaces of Nevada.

My wife’s family is in Arcadia and we are in town for a wedding. I last about 3 days here and have to get outta of Dodge.

Amazing place to eat! Especially fun in the winter when you can cross country ski or take a horse drawn sleigh up to the lodge to eat. I am jealous of that steak right now...

It's a fun place when the snow falls! Also, if you are ever back in Aspen, go to White House and get the chicken sandwich. Best in town, it's too damn good!
