4th gen 4Runner's front passenger seat: Have you sat in it for long peroids?

My wife's main complaint is the passenger seat. #1 the leather is too slick and she slides around in it. #2 you cannot tilt the bottom cushion. It lies too flat which makes the feeling of sliding out of the seat worse.
Has anybody modded the passenger seat to make the seat bottom tilt backward a little more? Maybe put some washers under the frame bracket in the front or something?
I'm almost 6'4" and I'm OK in the driver's seat...though I would enjoy a taller windshield. But the passenger side lack of power adjustment makes it suck. Any help would be appreciated.

Well that turned out to be a bad idea. The front mounting holes are angled, so that putting washers in there doesn't give you much tilt on the seat to begin with. And on top of that, the bolts are metric...and metric bolts have SOFT threads that just fall apart if you don't put them in at the perfect angle. Ended up having to drill and tap one of the holes and put a standard bolt back in it's place. What a PITA. I guess on a vehicle that was close to $40K new, it was too much to ask to have a tilt adjustable passenger side seat.

Metric bolts are not worse then Imperial. In some cases they are superior. You have to compare apples to apples. If you take grade 2 bolt and compare it to 10.9, then your grade 2 bolt will be stripping threads like paper. In your case its an opposite. 10.9 Metric bolt in fine thread is very strong bolt. 12.9 is even stronger. Just use the right hardware. I'm switching as much as I can from SAE standard to Metric on my vehicles and never had any issues with Metric fasteners.
As of the availability of having different options its a market. Here in North America we dictate the market in a such way as many very good features and options are not offered as they have very low popularity. In other markets Toyota offers many features I like to see on my vehicle, but because general public doesn't care about them its not offered. Unfortunately we are the minority who wants something extra, majority just want 4 wheels, comfy seat and cargo space. Look how many of those vehicle do used as they are intend to, less then 5%. We need to change to market to make things appear on the vehicle.
