4th gen has ceramic pads in front and semi-metallic in rear?

Thanks. I should hve researched more before posting. Between the time I posted and now, I have learned when you see the "TM" at the end of a part number, it indicates a lower grade of OEM product, probably designed to compete with chain stores.

What threw me is that 04465-AZ001-TM specifically states Ceramic pads, yet they are less expensive than the others. The 04465-35290 may very well be ceramic, but I haven't seen anything to confirm it.

In the end, I will go with the more expensive OEM pads as they are most likely to be the ones originally installed.

Now the rotors? Are they woth turning in anybody's experience?

as long as they are still thick enough, have them resurfaced.

rotors should be resurfaced at every pad change. this ensures a smooth flat surface for the new pads to bed against. it will help prevent pulsation as well.

I'm resurrecting another brake thread

I've been pouring over all these brake threads for the past few weeks, trying to gather information for the 5th gen brake upgrade I'm doing on my 2004 Limited. I finally ordered front 5th gen Centric Premium rotors, all 4 5th gen calipers, and all 6 stainless steel lines last night. Now, all I need is pads. Akebono Street Performance or Pro-Act? Hawk 5.0 up front and LTS in rear? If anyone's still out there, help me decide!

If anyone out there is still wondering as I was... I just pulled the original rear OEM pads off a 2008 Limited and can confirm they are Sumitomo ceramic.
