Selling my leather seat kit. I ended up switching to cloth. Paid 1k for these, letting them go for 400 OBO.

It’s the leatherseats.com Deluxe kit in ecstasy leather in charcoal. They are airbag compliant.

Located north county San Diego. They were installed in August.

Not bad. But long and tedious. I did mine over the weekend. I also used 75lbs zip ties which I highly recommend over using hog rings. But you definitely need a set of tin snips in order to cut the hog rings. And you’ll need a set of gloves to protect your fingers from knicks. Though you’ll have sore fingers for sure the next day.

So these are covers you installed for roughly 2 months an removed? Can I ask why the decision to switch was made so quickly? I have tan interior now, but contemplating a complete switch to grey or black or who know's. I think these would work, but I want to understand fully what I'm getting myself into.

My wife has the same questions, lol. Before my current Limited I had an SR5 and later a sport. I enjoyed the cloth seats in both. When I got my current limited, I enjoyed the leather seats too, but the plan was always to replace my leather with the black sport cloth which I had gotten from a junk yard. My OEM leather was nice but the driver seat was rough and felt like plastic. I decided I was going to sell my cloth covers and go with a leather seat kit, but couldn’t actually ever pull the trigger on selling the black cloth. I just prefer cloth over leather. I did have a 5th gen for a year, and I liked the softex too. I prefer the new synthetic seats like in Lexus and my wife’s Prius. But that’s not available for us, so between leather and cloth, my preference is cloth.

I understand, I'm picky as well an always spend more money then anticipated to get it to my liking. I just wanted to understand why they were removed after such a short time span. I'm going to send you my number, if it's possible to text me the covers removed so I can show an installer. I do 99% of work myself, but I'd like to pay an upholstery shop to do these if I buy them.
