4th gen. TRD PRO wheels. Am I the first?

I’ve got them with spidertrax 1.25” in the rear. The front stance is already wider because the maxtrac spindle pushes them out about an inch.

Hmmm. How wide are your tires. That might stick out more than i would like. We have stupid laws here in Hawaii lol

They're 265/70/17 KO2s. Before the spacer the stance was really nice with just the TRD wheels. The offset makes them sit flush with the body not sucked in like stock. If I didn't do the maxtrac I wouldn't have done them in the rear it was just to make things even. Really? What does the law keep you from doing?

Hawaii law doesn't allow the tire to be sticking out past the fender. It must sit flush. You can get away with a little bit of poke, but if the cop is a jerk, you'll get a ticket. You Would be surprised how many people here ruin a good looking truck with ghetto ass garden flares. Lol

Hawaii law doesn't allow the tire to be sticking out past the fender. It must sit flush. You can get away with a little bit of poke, but if the cop is a jerk, you'll get a ticket. You Would be surprised how many people here ruin a good looking truck with ghetto ass garden flares. Lol

I feel your pain. It sucks when your modding is restricted due to state laws. Ive been wanting to take my front license plate off to install a light bar in the lower section of the bumper, but probably won’t now that I’ve gotten pulled over for no mud flaps haha Around here it’s really only the staters you have to worry about pulling you over for things like this.
There were a few posts by yotamafia and team4runner on instagram (pretty sure it was these 2) of some 4R’s located in Hawaii that definitely didn’t meet the requirements you’re trying to meet. Possibly just your location with the cops being a little bit more strict?

I love these and am thinking about doing this on my 2006 sport, however, do you need a lift or spacers installed for adequate clearance on the wheel wells?
Looks like with 8 inch now the tires almost sit flush with the outside of the wheel well instead of being a little sunk in and I like that look a lot more.
The offset isn’t drastic. You should be fine.

I have not seen this post in a very long time and now that I look at the picture that I posted the wheels do look blue but they are definitely black my camera phone wasn't all that good back in the day I guess but it does look blue
FN Wheels makes their FX Pro which is a 17x8 version of these in Mag Blue, check them out.

That’s a relief, thank god haha! I was about to rethink my purchase of the matte black ones I just ordered OEM. Thank you so much for responding to this! Just took a look at the fn wheels you were talking about and they are a whole different color of blue so even if I was interested in blue it would have only been in the shade of that pic you posted haha. Rim replacement for 265/60/18 7.5" 2007 Limited
Help! I'm new to this forum as of 30 mins ago. I have not yet updated my profile with pics, etc. The reason I'm on here is that I need to replace my rims very soon. I'm constantly adding air to them and then no sooner do I do that, then I have to do it all over again. Also, they look very bad, they are peeling and bubbling everywhere. At this point, I am not considering refurbing them anymore. I just want to get new ones. However, I've never done this before and the talk of 'offset' is confusing and I don't know what I can actually get.
I'm currently running the stock rims, 18". From what I've read, they are 7.5" wide. My question is... Can I go to an 8" wide rim, same tire and rim size with no issues? Or if I do that, do I need to change my tire size and/or rim size? I have no 'preferences' on color, I just want them to look nice. I don't go off-roading, this is a typical 'mom-mobile'.
Thanks in advance for any advice or suggestions you can offer.
