4x2 off-road action shots! post em up!

Thanks - I've always been a grey car guy, not sure why - just always liked it.

She goes offroad occasionally, but no deep mud or anything. We camp out in Western NC a good bit and there is some good climbing, descending, and stream crossing involved, but nothing crazy. We camp next weekend so I'll try and remember to take some pics.

Thanks...it was fun but it felt like this was so long ago...I need to get out again - just need to get some chains for a snow run! :dancin:

I'm going to be pulling the trigger soon and purchase a second 4Runner...this time a 4X4. The '03's and '04's are selling for cheap now - it'll be a good trail rig for sure.

If only I could do the same... however, having just bought the '08, I might have to wait a couple of years to justify the purchase of another vehicle.

Thanks Chris. I owe you for helping me figure everything out. I'll be the first one to admit that I am lazy. The rims sat in my garage for 3+mos. The spacers were in there for 2+mos. Now I just need to figure out a place that will costom a front receiver hitch to come out behind the front plate... But that prolly will not happen until after busy season.

I ended up getting the Definity Dakota A/T (pepboys special) in 265/70R17. The reviews have been mostly positive and taking into consideration the warranty, free lifetime, rotation, lifetime balancing, and the $500 price tag... You can't beat it. Btw, they put my TPMS in the FJC rims free of charge.

All and all I feel that the tires work for me at this point. If I get more serious and do some really techincal trails I'll invest in the Cooper STT or comparable.

I think next I will start looking for light bars and rooftop baskets. At least that's something that I can shop for from my desk on my lunch break.

That's a might fine rig you got there. The white looks awesome, and those FJC rims look great!!! :biggrin2: If you were closer I'd say lets go hit up some trails around here.

Keep us up to date with your build... and don't forget to post pictures up when you take them.

for sure. hoping to get some boarding in soon. flying to denver to board up there this weekend so no driving it in the snow yet but. we really need to get some more rain though. this warm weather is gonna be the end of us this summer if we don't get some rain soon. if i knew someplace local i could take it i would.

dad lives in vegas and has thousands of miles of trails all around there. boo for living here haha.
