4x4 shop in the Philly/South Jersey/Del area

Can anyone recommend a shop in the Philadelphia area to do a suspension swap (FJ springs/shocks) on my 4Runner? I attempted the "no spring compressor" method from toyota120.com, but was not able to get it done. I don't want to play around with spring compressors so I'd rather just have a shop do it at this point.

Bump. I'm looking for a shop in the Philly/ South NJ / Delaware area as well. Need to do the same swap, and don't have a spring compressor. My front coils are without the top plates, so I need to use the ones from my existing 4runner.

I normally attempt to do as much as i can handle but there are times i would just rather pay and be done with it. And something like this can be handled by any good mechanic if need be. No real need for a 4x4 shop with just this swap.


I too would like to know if there is a shop though. I know there is a truck shop in woodbury who i have heard did good work but have no first hand knowledge myself.

There is also a company that deals with off road / expedition type products i found on these boards (main line overland or something like that) that might do that type of work but i am not sure. There are located just outside philly i believe.




If you got your stock struts out, why not just bring them to a mechanic and have them swap over the hardware for you and just reinstall. I too will be in need of some work soon and am looking for a fj set up with some 5100's.

there is a place one 202...right near the delaware line..called Auto & Truck Outfitters...not entirely sure if they do swaps there...but its worth a try
