5th Gen at Marin County Ford

In case anyone is looking for a slightly used 5th Gen. My old one is for sale at Marin County Ford in Novato. They are listing it as a Pro, which it is not. It is a Trail Premium with the Pro suspension, wheels, and grill. Its in great shape, I took good care of it, all service done at Santa Cruz Toyota dealer. I have no affiliation with Marin, just wanted to put out the correct info if anyone is looking. You should be able to get them down to $38-39K for it. Good Luck!

Nope. Has sunroof, thats the giveaway. Has KDSS too. They were actually pretty decent as far as dealers go.

Can you let me know what was done suspension wise? All original Pro suspension in addition to the KDSS?

I like how they threw all of the generic TRD Pro items on the description (TRD shift knob, floor mats, etc.) even though the pics clearly show otherwise. Gotta love dealers. Unless you told them it was a Pro, which would be hilarious.

I had the OEM TRD Pro suspension added at a local 4x4 shop. Yes in addition to the KDSS.

43,000. Wow. I've got less than that in my 2017 Off Road premium, and it has a Toytec Ultimate lift, Smittybilt 10,000# winch and SSO Hybrid bumper. It also has Sunroof and KDSS. Everything except the Pro badging.

Are they really worth that much in Calif??

Hey thanks! I'll be around still. I've owned three 4runners and will probably go back to a 1st Gen, those are my favorites. Plus, this is a great forum. There are so many good mods and tons of information that crosses many platforms. I'll post shots of my F250 once i get the build done.

Yes they are, everything is overpriced here, except crime, you can get away with that for free. My days are numbered in California. They shouldn't get more than $39k for it

OP, I was thinking about adding Pro suspension to my KDSS OR Premium, did it make your old 4runner ride stiffer? Can you tell me what your thoughts were about doing this mod, did you use the stock pro shocks or 6112? Any lean issues afterwards? I like the way my rig rides now but wouldnt mind an extra inch lift up front and I assume toyota made sure the springs work for our rigs or they wouldnt have added them.

It makes the ride stiffer. It did not fix the lean, but from what others have said you need to swap left and right to fix it. The suspension is all Pro parts, shocks and coils and they are designed to fit. It does not give much extra lift over the Trail, maybe 1/2-1 inch. It sits just like a stock Pro.
