just wanted to share a few pics of my custom fiberglass box i just built for my 4runner and the build process

Flawless execution. Makes me rethink the custom(but significantly larger 12") box a buddy made for me. (1 treo 12) Looking forward to finished angles too!

Did you consider doing a mono fill in the box? I have a similar enclosure from Wicked CAS in New Hampshire in my FX35. One of my more intelligent friends gave me the lowdown on how I should have considered filling it for better sound.

What are your thoughts? Nice work btw.

Working on mine. We glassed in the little indent pocket in the side panel to get the extra couple hundred cubic inches. I am working to finish the face of the box but we are using a lot of MDF on the front side because ours is going to be flush to the wheel well.

Nice work. Oh, the other fun part--car wax and hair spray make the fiberglass release off of the tape you use to protect the 4runner. Learned this the hard way. Coat the tape with car wax then spray the way with hairspray. It is almost magical.

I will post pics when I am done. Still working on the MDF part.

Really nice work! Thanks for sharing these pics. May I ask what line converter you used to get preouts for the sub? Is the wood on the wheel well just taped in place during the taping process or is it held there some other way?

Nice work, I like how it doesnt take up a whole bunch of room. Looks like it would be pretty easy to take in and out incase you need the space for camp gear !
