Believe it or not, there were other users who have done the same, and scrolling past those posts is a pain. especially on mobile.

Took these off at around 8k miles originally. I'd estimate around 85-90% tread remaining. No plugs or repairs. These are in Load Range "D" which have since been discontinued.

tis true.... but looking at the 4runner (unless you are using an after market bumper.... there really is no better spot. In the dash is subject to a fine in that commi state. sorry couldnt help you further. maybe just get some plastic push grommets and color match paint.
