Quick question for you all...those of you who have shipped wheels, what method have you used? I'm trying to quote a shipment of 4 wheels from central Illinois to El Paso, TX and the cheapest rate I've found was FedEx was $185. That seems really high. Anyone have any other suggestions?

Don't use fed-ex. USPS with tracking numbers and signature is pretty cheap.

Just checked USPS and USPS retail ground is $60.25 / box (each wheel). Guess I'm going to have to look for local buyers, because I don't think anyone will pay that.

open a FedEx account and ship Ground or Home Delivery. in my experience, it's cheapest and it also includes delivery confirmation, tracking, and inexpensive additional insurance (add it; worth it).

Actually you don't have to box them. All you have to do is put cardboard or plywood covering the rim front an back and then haul them to ups.
