Got a collection of stuff in my garage I'd like to clear out from my 2012 5th Gen 4runner. Local pickup or local meet up only from Santa Fe, New Mexico (within 60-miles range). I will be at Overland Expo West, so I could bring any of this along for the ride as I head west.

Rockers are used. Driver's side has a couple gouges right up front. But still decent. $100 OBRO for both.

OEM skids all have been banged up some. $50 OBRO.

OEM carpet floor mats/carge area (black). $25 OBRO

Mudguards (never installed). $10 OBRO.

WTB front bumper 2014+ D.C. Area

Anyone out there have a 2014+ front bumper they are willing to part with? Looking for a black bumper ideally.

For me, there are 2 reasons:

1. It is illegal in the state of TX to leave your car running attended. Thus, remote start is illegal in TX (and several other states, BTW).

2. I could see that it would be nice to have remote start if I lived in a cold place and had to park outside. But, I live in San Antonio (we got 1 freeze last year) and I park in a garage at home and work. Thus, I have zero need for this.

I didn't know this, but I mostly use my remote start for the super cold days in the mountains of Colorado and North Carolina.

If you are both removing it, Whats the reason?

I want to remove mine because I installed a CompuStar T11 Remote Start and Alarm system in my 4Runner last week. No reason to have the original module in there when the new one takes care of all of that.

It was super easy to remove, so I assume it will be easy to put back in. It's all plug n play. Just need to get it programmed.

I think I will be removing mine over the next week so that I can sell it as well. I need to recoup some of the massive amounts of money that I have going out over the past few months.

I would love if you have any pictures of this.

My original post made clear it was for local pick up or delivery only, so in my opinion the only wow is you apparently feeling entitled to me shipping them to you. For $10, it is not worth my time to package them up and ship them, particualary when I have little free time at the moment.

Remote start is an explicit exception to #1 (unattended running vehicle): TRANSPORTATION CODE CHAPTER 545. OPERATION AND MOVEMENT OF VEHICLES. That's the whole code; I didn't want to link a third-party site. Search for "545.404" for the specifics under (b) which state:

(b) The requirements of Subsections (a)(1), (2), and (3) do not apply to an operator who starts the engine of a vehicle by using a remote starter or other similar device that:
(1) remotely starts the vehicle's engine without placing the key in the ignition; and
(2) requires the key to be placed in the ignition or physically present in the vehicle before the vehicle can be operated.

The Toyota factory start in our T4Rs meets these requirements.

Regarding #2, it's awesome here in the summer to pre-cool your vehicle before you get in. But to each his own...
