5th gen Slider sale?

Looking for a set of bolt on or weld on sliders for my kdss 5th gen before November, doing our annual run and want to get them before the trip.

Preferably local to San Diego and surrounding areas to save some shipping so I can pick them up. Even custom can be an option if the price is right!!

Pelfrey is out of SD and Demello is in Corona. I hear they both have sales every once in a while.

White knuckle had sliders ready for me within a week time. And for the heavy duty ones still had damn good price. I picked up in Apple valley. Ask about discount codes and offer to pay cash, because cash is king.

There are some good local options, but I'd highly recommend you also look at BudBuilt if you're willing to consider shipping. Great guy and great products.
 
Have considered budbuilt as well, trying to stay away from the $700 range but with kickout.

I know i just missed out on pelfrey and their moving sale too

Get the Pelfrey. I was able to put them to good use out at the Calico event. It protected the side of rig from getting smashed.

I hear you on that. Bud certainly isn't the cheapest, but they've still saved me at least ten times their cost in body damage.
 
Group buy would be good, my thing is the lead times right now also... some are 12wks out. Didn't pull the trigger on RCI, just not quite what I wanted.

I like the white knuckle, they seem to come up a bit shirt for the wheelbase from the front tire to rocker, may be just me being picky though

Any of try rocky road?

I've had White Knuckle sliders on my 4th gen for over three years now.

They still look like new. EDIT: They only look new from above. The bottom sides are properly scratched up from wheeling. :) Zero issues with the u-bolts. Installation was a little tricky around the fuel tank (tight clearances), but they're strong and they've held up to wheeling. I did get some rubbing/creaking against the floorboard but it was nothing a little persuasion with a hammer couldn't fix.

I made the drive to his location in Apple Valley to pick up in person (save shipping time/money). I have no issues recommending White Knuckle sliders.

You could try Joe via Instagram. He's based in Orange County and makes 5th gen Bolt on sliders. Didn't personally buy them, but he welded on a pair of 4x Innovation sliders for my 4th gen.
 
I talked to w.k. about there mounts and they also said they haven't had any problems, I'm still not sure on it though they say it's stronger than the 2 plates and bolted. Friendly staff and they said could even get them knocked out by the weekend if needed which is badass! I'm just not quite sold on the u-bolts

I talked to all pro and they're about 5 weeks out, but I like there staff, super friendly and offering the t4r.org discount is cool.

I found a guy In s.d. Called JTA metalworks, does A lot of taco and fj stuff, just runs the business out of his garage kind of a thing, looks like good work but want to make sure it's legit and not a take my deposit and run type of thing

I actually thought they looked decent, had some character. Dude has no overhead and is much less expensive, just not sure about it. I like allpro because they give a t4r discount, but w.k. is local for the most part only a few hrs out. I am terribly indecisive about my own stuff
