From my own experience the Toyo M/Ts are a better tire than the BFGs. I had BFGs for the longest time...die hard you might say, but I always had problems with uneven wearing on them and cracks in the side walls. Maybe this has changed over the years. I switched to Toyos 2 years ago...no problems whatsoever. Toyos are also true to size. BFGs run small. So a 33" tire really isn't a 33. Go with Toyo. They are expensive but worth it. I have had the best prices at Discount tire. They will meet or beat anyones prices. My 33s cost $298ea. and my 35s $320 so expect to put out some cash.

I think the GoodYear MTR Kevlar look the coolest. plus you can get 275/70/17s.... little upgrade.

Duratracs seem like a better tire choice if you contend with snow/ice.

After figuring out the search for the sub forums, I looked over most of the tire threads for 5th Gen 4runners.

I have to say I agree with you. It's not a knock on the other suggestions, I just think they are a solid fit and do what I need and look cool too.

I'll quit hijacking the picture thread now. :nicethread:

Just having some fun in my 5th gen

some places felt like i was gonna tip the truck but she held her balance well and made it through everything i threw at her today. was impressed for sure. now i need to find some more trails :hungry:

i was out at Peg Leg in Chilliwack. good times

i went to eagle kind of spur of the moment kinda thing. didnt get a chance to give you a shout. and i couldnt go anywhere besides the powerline trail.
