All cleaned up following my Nevada trip:

I'm still deciding what to do about the bumper valence that came off. I may reattach it, or I might just
leave it off and attach the license plate directly to the bumper. One factor in that decision is that I'm
considering the possibility of getting decent off road bumper at some point.

What happened to it, Mega blast? I've been looking at bumpers for my 2016, fav's are the Southern Style, Hefty Fabworks and the new Addicted Offroad.

What happened to it, Mega blast?

I was coming down a very narrow canyon in the Panamint Mountains, and came to a place where the trail
was too washed out to continue -- just a jumble of boulders.

Backing out in the dark, without a spotter, would have been tricky, but there was just enough room to do a
multi-point turn by backing up one side of the canyon. During the tightest part of the turn, the bumper came
into contact with the bottom of the gully a couple times. I didn't know the bumper valence had come off, and
probably ran over it on the way out.

I discovered it was missing when I got out of the car a few minutes later, and walked back to get it. It's
scraped and gouged, and three of the four tabs that insert into the bumper are broken off.

Mounted up some 295/70/18 (34.49) Cooper STT pros today. It's going in for a BMC next week and I'm waiting on bump stop extensions for the rear which should take care of any rubbing.
