Where do I start...
Fully boxed frame, disc breaks on all 4. Real Shift Style T-Case, not the electronic switch like my Tacoma. solenoids for electrical. Hood struts, heated mirrors. the list goes on...
I feel the 4Runner is a way better buy, dollar for dollar. I love my Tacoma, and it is very well built, and hasn't ever let me down, on/off the trail...
But if I was contemplating on buying a Tacoma or a 4Runner, I would buy the 4Runner if the Pick UP Bed was not a necessity. I don't need a pickup bed, although it is awesome to have.
my Tacoma is for sale if anyone is interested.

That's pretty much exactly what I thought too. I had a 2014 DCSB 4x4 Base Tacoma and it felt like lower overall quality compared to my 2014 4Runner Trail. Also, the 4Runner feels like it sits up taller from the driver's seat perspective.

I agree 100%. I had a 2013 DCSB TRDSport and the 4Runner is a Cadillac compared to it. Now we are comparing a pickup to a high end SUV but they are both still Yota's!!
Now on the other hand my brother had a 2013 Tundra Crew Cab / TRD Off Road with the TRD Supercharger and that thing was amazing and super comfortable. We would drag race anything and win!!

Yup, the sitting position on the Runner is alto better. I can't wait to take the Runner off-road. I've put about 700 miles so far and they've been fantastic.
The Cadillac feeling is also that the Runner is full coil sprung. The leafs springs on the Tacoma really make the ride bouncy. It will hold wait like a champ, but ride suffers.

the new gobis have clearance and the hatch opens fine. there was issues with older versions but i think they fixed it. i can't find the thread but search gobi and it should pop up somewhere.

By chance, do you have a side shot of your LE with the TE wheels? Interested in seeing what the TE wheels would look like on my black '10 SR5. The LE would best represent.
