Went out today to test out the snow capabilities of this baby. 16" of fresh powder I drove through it like it's nothing.

Just picked up a 2013 SR5 w/ the Limited options package (tan interior), 31k on the odo. This is my first 4runner, and I got one since I love my brothers '02 so much.

Bought the 4runner for people hauling and hauling my race car (miata) to the track a few times a year (4-5 times a year). With an open deck 16' trailer loaded with the car everything comes in at 4000lbs, gear probably another 200lbs. So it's close to the max, but the track is only 60-70 miles away.

With that in mind I'm looking into getting an aux trans cooler, hoping the dealer can install it to make sure I don't void the Certified Pre Owned Warranty from Toyota. Probably going to have it in series with the radiator, I know that's not typically recommended but living in a state with some nasty winter months I'd like to get the trans up to operating temps. And finally, I'm going to get an electronic brake controller to manage trailer braking.

Other than that the plan is to keep it stock, but that probably won't last. TRD wheels and a small lift would look quite nice.

So far i love them! the ight output is crazy good since i did 55w hids. i still have to wire the halos but over all im really happy with the way these came out.

This is sick. So many nice 5th gens in here. Thats the wheel/tire set up i will eventually go with in the future for my trail.

Ha. Yeah, that's the girlfriend. We got a great deal on the 4Runner in NC. Here in Colorado they hold their value extremely well and can be hard to find. We both had never seen that part of the U.S., so the drive was fairly enjoyable till we hit Missouri & Kansas. Ha.

Hey hey... I'll concede Missouri with the exception of southern Missouri. Kansas on the otherhand is beautiful, especially at sunset... I won't hate you too much because you come from Colorado and Colorado is also beautiful!

Thanks! I purchased the D2S 3.0 Morinito minis from The Retrofit Source. I think I paid $310 plus shipping and then did the work my self.

Very Sharp. I have 33" Duratracs on my 2001, anf 35" Duractracs load range D on my Jeep. My question, I heard the smaller the tire, the more firmer the ride as to the more aggressive treads, so do these stock 265's (I assume), ride ultra firm? Are you around 35 psi ? Btw along with those TRD wheels..., spot on.., whereby I hope to duplicate with my 2015 MG TE.

Yes, you are correct they are a bit firm, and were also a bit#% to balance for multiple reasons. Here in Germany Road Force balancers are rare, the locals have zero experience balancing these size tries with the big tread, and they used a lot of weight. Also, Goodyear really sucked at making one of the tires, which had an uneven spot that made it impossible to balance just right. Eventually with some wear, they are all good to go now, but I might just go with the BFGs next. And hopefully I will be in the states by that time. And yes, I am at 35psi.

That black paint also has blue/green metal flake that you can only really see in the sun or under metal halide type lights...Any info on this paint? I'm guessing it's like the black sandstone I read about on previous Toyotas??

Not sure how I feel about the tires. I loved my BFG All Terrain TA's...Time will tell. The wheels really are pretty sick. I haven't had a NEW vehicle since 1990, when I bought my Mustang LX 5.0 notchback...black on black...sticker was $14,600.00. after rebates, I financed $11,400.00. LOL #thatwasmydownpaymentforthisnewbeast!!
