nope, paint. Had a friend's auto body shop remove them and do it.

Was definitely a beautiful day in SM yesterday. I work not to too far from where you were. I took a detour for a view of the coast at lunch, too!

Finally picked up my first 4Runner. Ive had 3 Tundras and 1 Tacoma in the past, so Toyotas aren't new to me. But this is finally my first 4wd. Every time I would buy a truck, I debated a 4Runner. Finally went and got mine!

How is it that I can look at 4Runners all day and not get bored?
I don't care if it is stockers like mine; or lifted, bumpered, slider(ed?), Magnetic Gray ones (my favorite T4R color).
Anyway, here's mine. It's pretty boring at this point so i went for a perspective shot; albeit with a cell phone...sorry.
And a dealer shot since I know it will never be that clean again.
Plans include sliders and a gobi stealth or similar.
Those two will be as soon as my funds are released by Maj. Couch Cushions.
Near future plans are some sort of small bumper with a hidden winch. Distant plans probably have a 2-3" lift and some bigger tires maybe as needs dictate.

Took the TE rack off my last truck and swapped racks, 3" leveling kit, 285 BFG's, dipped stock wheels... that's about it so far.

Were there any modifications required to mount the older roof rack?
