Thanks! He was actually born and raised there up until about 2 years ago so he's already been rippin' up some trails in his TJ a few years ago. I on the other hand, am from Hawaii and definitely need to get used to the different language. He's been trying to break me in already....I'm just ready to be able to get sweet tea wherever we go! :thumb3:

Truck looks great. The shackles look great. But they really shouldn't be used as you have them fitted. They are generally not made to be used in that direction, the pin likes a direct straight pull which is unlikely as placed. And you will probably bend the hooks they are are attached to. They mess with your approach angle too. But they do look great.

Where did you get those red hooks?

I got them from 4WD parts.

And I got washers to keep them from rattling.

And to DEERUNNER's point. They definitely look great, the washers force them down into the angle they're in right now. When you remove the washers, it allows the d-rings to sit straighter when being pulled. That said, they still sit vertically, which isn't considered the best. But, my girlfriend has a Jeep and we got these, a recovery strap and a d-ring hitch adapter, so we would have more options and flexibility to move these d-rings around as needed if either one of us got stuck. And I keep them upfront cause they look great and was inspired by a few other 4Runner owners who did the same.
