Replaced my stock Dunlop minivan tires with less than 3000 miles on them. I went with BFG KO2s in 275/70R17. Pictures don't do it justice, but the look is night and day difference, so much that I actually kinda like it with stock SR5 wheels now. I wavered on whether to go black letters or white letters out, but I think I made the right choice on white paint.

5th Gen 4runner upgrades
Here are the details & part numbers for the changes I've made to my 2016 4Runner trail Premium In white:
My dealer refused to put on the TRD Pro wheels so I did it myself. No rubbing or any other problems whatsoever by retaining the stock tires.
Also down here in FL, ALL 4runners are imported with the sliding rear deck. I removed it because it wasted 6inches of space in the back & prevented me from putting my mountain bike inside. It was a PITA to find the correct part numbers to delete it. But if anyone wants to add the sliding deck - let me know. I have all the bits available for sale.
Roof Rack:
Baja Rack: 4Runner Gen 5 Standard Basket Rack 2010-2016 Part No: BR-TY4RG5-0
Nameplate Part Number: 7543135060 nameplate "4RUNNER", w/smart key
Delete Sliding Cargo Deck:
Carpet trim 5857035150C5
Padded covering 5857935020
Trim board 5840135060C3
Bezel 6471760030C0 (Left & right are identical)
Bracket Ctr Floor 58249-60020 (Left & right are identical. Re-use the existing 10mm bolts)
Change Front Grille:
TRD Parts: PZ4R-GRILLE Grille Kit, TRD Pro - 4Runner (2014+)
Change Wheels:
TRD Pro wheels in Black. Retain standard tires 265 70/R17 Dunlop Grandtrek
Spray the wheelarches + front & rear valance in matt black.
If you like it - great. If you don't, that's OK too. We all want to make our 4Runners unique.

Completely stock suspension and there's no rubbing at all. I've probably got a 1/4" - 1/2" clearance on the front mud flaps when the wheels are turned and more clearance than that on the fender liner.
I'll eventually end up doing Bilsteins set at 0.85" lift, but just swapping the tires is an unbelievable improvement in appearance, and it doesn't sway side-to-side nearly as much over diagonal speed bumps anymore.

I am brand new here. I just purchased a new 2016 4Runner Trail. Traded in my beloved jeep rubicon unlimited with 37" tires for the 4R.
The 4R was built by the dealership how I wanted it....
3" lift, 285/75 BFG TAKO2 tires, black on black, roof rack with 2 13.5" forward LED light bars and 2 lights facing the rear, softec, and KDSS.
Compared to the ride of my rubicon this 4R drives like a Cadillac! It's nice not having to step up into the rubicon with the 4.5" lift and the 37's as well.
