Until the frame flexes and causes the bumper to break a headlight and fender damage. You want a bit of a gap. It does look good though.

There is an acceptable amount of gap. Roughly the same as all the body gaps around the truck. It's a great bumper

Yeah I can see that. But the stock cover isn't bolted directly to the frame so it doesn't cause the bumper to flex. My friend [MENTION=103699]lipek[/MENTION] had a similar gap going on on his rear and it caused the stock bumper cover brackets to crack and rip off. Same goes for the front. I know with the bumper you have, there's no option of cutting the factory cover as you have to completely remove it.

I gotcha. Yes, I did have to remove the cover to bolt this bumper to the frame.

If I may ask, is that the outer banks? I've never been but visiting, driveing & fishing those southern beaches is high on my bucket list. Not fond of crowded developed beaches and prefer them how God made them.

this is actually from amelia island state park. the point was closed because of the piping plover and i think most people were too afraid to take the track through the dunes to the other side of the point. we went over and had the place to ourselves, it was the perfect spot for a little picnic on the beach

I plan on blacking out the rims next weekend. Hmmmm what else? Thoughts?

No rubbing at all! I too was worried at first but there are a few other threads similar to this topic which gave me enough confidence to move forward on just the .85" lift in the front. Ultimately I wanted the front level with the rear but the ability to go up a tire size was an added benefit so I capitalized...Good luck!
 
New to this forum. I picked up a 16 t4r sr5. This is my first t4r!
