How do you like the Rocky Mounts basket so far?! I was debating on getting a Yakima Load Warrior basket. Any input would be appreciated! Thanks

It works great, the construction fit and finish is far better than expected. The Load Warrior was appealing, but the Rocky Mounts seems like a direct replica at a fraction of the price. The only bummer, is no extension is available... You can pick up the Rocky Mounts for a killer deal, with prime free shipping on Amazon

Here are the close-up pictures of how I used the Rhino Rack 90 degree tabs from Amazon, to retro-fit on the round bars of my Rocky Mounts basket. Hope these images help. I applied some clear water-proof silicon under the bolt heads so that upon tightening, a somewhat water-proof seal was in place to ensure no unwanted moisture enters the tubing- which could lead to rust.

recent purchase

new toy. Nautical pearl blue. SR5.
Just TRD upgrades - skid plate, front and rear shocks, wheels, brakes, air and oil filters. Glad I added. the stock setup steering felt very very light. These changes made it feel just a bit heavier but not close to being to heavy. I will say, I think it needs more aggressive off road looking tires

Pic 1 and 2 were taken today after I picked it back up from dealership.
Pic 3 was purchase day. (completely stock)

Took me 20 yrs too. but I finally got mine as well. I wish I could have kept my 2nd gen as well.

Every time I drive up to Mammoth or the Eastern Sierras I pass by Vasquez Rocks. I always say to myself I should stop and check it out. Well, on my way back from climbing Mt. Whitney this week I finally did. Star Trek fans will recognize it as the site of the now infamous duel between Capt. James T. Kirk and the Gorn.
