Our local Point Washington State Forest is doing an "ecosystem restoration", removing all the sand pines and replacing them with native long leaf pine trees. This was just off-trail. Did just a little flexing on a leftover log.

I'm in search of some good trails/roads in the Austin area as well. Just picked up the 4RN, but new to the 4WD/Offroad world. If you have any suggestions, please pass them on. Also, wouldn't mind getting together with some folks from around the area to learn more.

CR 315 is a nice drive. Nothing challenging by any means, but a fun drive none the less. It takes you from north of Willow City to Click. 318 is nice too, but not as fun as 315. The road from Medina to Vanderpool has a handfull of short (very short) side dirt roads. Some even with creek crossings. All public roads.

Here's a treasure trove of dirt roads for ya. Nothing amazing, but a few real fun ones. The one near Balcones is cool. Its Travis Co Doe Run Rd.

Whelp, I just dipped them Sunday. But I am going to redo them Thursday. I wasn't paying attention when I did them. I had the cans sitting on top of my deep freeze in the garage which cooled the can and made the spray really clumpy and didn't give it the finish I had hoped for. :gun5:
But, you can't go wrong for a $25 paint job.
