Sorry I was referring the crappy LR. Expensive hot garbage...wife's family had a couple and they died several times to the point the dealership reimbursed in full.

Yes, I knew you were referring to the Rover. Still have a soft spot for them though as I've driven a number of different ones over a 20 year period. They never left me stranded once in the woods but I understand some folks haven't had the same luck. I'm driving the 4Runner daily but still have a 1998 Disco as that was my favorite of them all. It's in great condition and will live a pampered life in old age.

I took my ‘17 Tacoma in for oil and drove out with this. Seems the dealer wanted a used Taco more than this ORP with 4 miles on it. Ridiculously good deal. I still scratching my head why he did it.

Don't take this the wrong way but you're the kind of person they target.
Dealerships are always looking to buy 1-2 year old vehicles because they have the best resale value of used cars. Then they get you to buy one of their brand new ones off the lot. I used to get my oil changed at the dealership and would always hear their salesmen on the phone cold calling people to see if they wanted to trade in theirs and get into a new vehicle. Let me guess, they got you a lower monthly payment?
I'm not trying to bag on you. Congrats on the new ride but lets not pretend like he sold you the vehicle because he wanted to be nice. Believe me the dealership made money off you.

4runner looks good!!!I was at the dealership yesterday for an oil change and they are trying to get my in a 2019 Tacoma TRD PRO 6spd.... I got a 2018 T4R ORP KDSS with 10K on it. Also I bought the car with $9K damage off the lot. ( lot snow removal truck hit it) I paid $36K and now they are giving me $36K for trade in and pay the difference of $5,500 to get into the 2019 Tacoma TRD PRO...... Its super tempting I wont lie.....

You made the right choice. I bought my 3rd gen Tacoma brand new and kept it for 3500 miles. Just couldn't stand the 3.5 and 6 speed auto but loved everything else about it. Traded up to a brand new 5th gen 4runner and couldn't be happier. Didn't take much of a hit on my trade in and bought a 2016 in January of 2017 so I was able to talk them down quite a bit even though it did take about 8 hours of negotiating but I love to haggle.

I had the same experience with my Tacoma. I didn’t like the 3.5 and the brakes sucked; so grabby. They must make a lot of money on the used trucks. Mine had 35K on it and it got an even trade on the financing. Definitely an upgrade for me. Still though, the Tacoma was pretty cool to look at.

A little more fender liner trimming this morning after adding new shoes yesterday - Ridge Grapplers 285 70r17. No issues backing to right, only left - I had cut around the water bottle on passenger side, had to hack that off this morning.
